Why take to this course?

  • 1.

    You'll learn a practical method

A clear system for understanding movement and building it layer by layer: hips, legs, torso, arms, and head. From scratch to the finishing touches.

  • 2.

You'll improve the clarity and quality of your drawings

Timing, spacing, arcs, common mistakes, polish: what sets a correct movement apart from a truly natural one.

  • 3.

    From reference to animation

You'll learn to analyze cues and translate them into decisions: rhythm, intention, weight, and attitude.

  • 4.

You'll bring your animations to a cinematic setting

Camera, move forward, break the cycle, and turn a technical animation into an animation shot.

  • 5.

Plug & Play: Everything's ready to go

Rig, picker, sample scenes, references. Everything is explained step by step, so you can focus on animating instead of struggling with the setup.

  • Who should take this class?

Students with a foundation who want to develop their skills.
If you already know the basics (Maya, posing, animation principles) and want to learn
how to create motion mechanics using a professional approach.

Intermediate instructors looking to take their skills to the next level.
If you feel that your walking/running routines “work” but don’t consistently convey energy, intensity,
    or quality.

Self-taught artists looking for a professional method.
If you're tired of scattered tutorials and want a system that works for any
    character, cycle, or project.

    What's included?

    include_kin01_ok
    LEO (Exclusive Rig)

A rig optimized for body mechanics, with variations and controls designed for fast, clean work.

    include_kin02_ok
Sample scenes (for review and comparison)

Walking and running with enthusiasm, ready to analyze and understand. (References are included so you can practice.)

    include_kin03_ok
    Lighting Set + DW Picker

A lighting scene is included so you can light your animations right from the start. A ready-to-use picker (JSON + PNG) is provided, along with a video showing how to set it up and create a button on the shelf.

    What will you learn?

  • Polish + Film Context

Common mistakes, clean paths, subtle "smear frames," progress, breaking the
    cycle, and sequence editing.

  • Motion Analysis and Benchmarking

You'll learn to read the body: rhythm, balance, counterbalance, arcs, intention, and
    energy.

  • Professional workflow (layering animation)

We will build the movement step by step, understanding each key issue and each decision: we do not
    memorize, but reason.

    Admission

To ensure that you will get the most out of the workshop, we need to review your demo reel and assess your level. Basically, we want to see that you have a good grasp of the principles of animation and that your mechanics are solid enough for you to tackle the workshop with confidence.

    1 Submit your Reel

We will review your demo reel and assess whether you have the necessary level to get the most out of the workshop and make the most of each stage of the process.

    2 Feedback

After our evaluation, we will give you detailed feedback on your reel. If we do not recommend that you take the workshop, you can try again at a later date.

    3 Reserve

If we believe that you can fully benefit from the workshop, we will tell you how to reserve your place. You can choose between our tutors according to your preference.
